WHAT IS DESTINY 2 TRIALS OF OSIRIS BOOST?
Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Boost is an activity which takes place every weekend starting on Friday at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT through the following Tuesday at the same time. Trials of Osiris is a competitive Crucible mode which requires you to have a pre-made fireteam consisting of 3 players as matchmaking is not available for this mode. In order to enter Trials of Osiris, you must purchase a Trials ticket by visiting Saint-14 in the tower. To participate in Trials, your Destiny 2 character must have a minimum of 1210 Power and have completed the Entry Pending Quest.
The goal of this Crucible is to win seven matches which will then yield rewards based on your performance. On the other hand, losing 3 matches will get you disqualified. Winning seven matches without a single loss will give you access to an area called The Lighthouse. This area contains a special loot chest and drops flawless rewards.
WHAT ARE TRIALS OF OSIRIS PASSAGES?
Trials passages is a mission item that is used to help you go through Trials of Osiris and eventually The Lighthouse. You can only use one passage at a time but can be changed at any time. Keep in mind that changing your passage will reset your trials ticket progress. You can purchase your trials passage by visiting Saint-14 at a cost of 25,000 Glimmer and 15 Legendary Shards each. There are a total of five unique passages:
- Passage of Mercy (always available): Forgives one loss per run.
- Passage of Ferocity (always available): With zero losses, your third win grants a bonus win.
- Passage of Confidence (unlocked after going Flawless): Grants bonus rewards from Flawless Chest.
- Passage of Wealth (unlocked at five wins): Increased tokens from completing and winning Trials matches.
- Passage of Wisdom (unlocked at seven wins): Grants bonus XP from Trials wins, scaling with the number of wins on a ticket.
TRIALS OF OSIRIS REWARDS
Loot in Trials of Osiris are divided into two categories. The first one being Trials Engrams which can be obtained by trading in Trials Tokens. These tokens are obtained by completing weekly, daily and repeatable Trials Bounties sold by Saint-14, as well as completing Trials matches. It is particularly important to keep in mind that any unused Trials Tokens will disappear every Tuesday when Trials of Osiris ends. This prevents players from gathering and hoarding Trials Tokens over many weeks or months. Lastly, Trials Engrams can only grant you new rolls of items that you have already obtained.
The second category of loot in Trials of Osiris is the ticket rewards which essentially means that you will obtain better rewards if you win more matches. Here is the breakdown:
⭐THREE WINS: TIER 2 POWERFUL GEAR
⭐ FIVE WINS: TIER 3 POWERFUL GEAR
⭐ SEVEN WINS: PINNACLE GEAR
These rewards can only be obtained once per character every week. Getting seven wins, regardless of whether it is flawless or not, means that you will obtain all three rewards in one run.
